Fitness Level

How fit do I really need to be for a gravel tour?

You don't need to be a pro athlete! If you're comfortable cycling for a few hours at a steady pace, you'll fit right in. Our electric-assist gravel bikes help flatten the hills so you can focus on the scenery.

What if I'm slower than everyone else?

Don't worry—this isn't a race! Our guides set a relaxed pace with plenty of stops for photos, snacks, and breathers. We stay together as a group to ensure everyone feels comfortable and supported throughout the ride.

Are the climbs very difficult?

While Yorkshire is known for its rolling hills, we choose routes that offer the best views without being overly technical. With our e-gravel bikes, even the steeper sections become manageable and fun adventures.

Bike Type & Gear

What kind of bike works best for these trails?

Gravel bikes with 40mm+ tires are ideal for our mixed terrain. However, mountain bikes are also welcome, especially if you prefer extra suspension. We simply recommend checking your brake pads and tire tread before we head out.

Is there essential gear I shouldn't forget?

Beyond a mandatory helmet and water, we suggest layers for Yorkshire's changeable weather. A small saddlebag with a spare tube is great, though our guides carry kits to help with any mechanicals along the way.

Can I join with an e-bike or rental?

Absolutely! E-gravel bikes are perfect for taking the sting out of the climbs. If you don't have your own, we offer top-tier rental options that are maintained for total reliability on the gravel.

Group Size & Dynamics

How big are the groups?
What is the riding pace?
Can I book as a solo rider?

We keep our tours intimate with a maximum of 6 riders per guide. This ensures everyone gets personal attention and the group stays together on the trails.

We ride at a social, conversational pace. Use the e-boost on your bike to glide up the climbs, so you can focus on the Yorkshire views and the company.

Absolutely! Solo riders are very welcome. Guided tours are the perfect environment to meet new friends who share a passion for exploration and the great outdoors.

Weather & Cancellations

What happens if the weather is poor on the day of my ride?

In Yorkshire, a bit of rain is part of the charm! Our guided e-gravel tours generally proceed in wet weather as our bikes are designed for rugged terrain. However, if conditions are deemed unsafe—such as extreme gales or storm warnings—we will contact you to reschedule or offer a full refund.

Can I cancel or change my booking if I change my mind?

We offer a flexible cancellation policy. You can receive a full refund or move your date with at least 48 hours' notice before the tour start time. For private groups and custom tours, we ask for 7 days' notice to ensure we can reallocate our expert guides.

What's Included

What exactly is included in the base price?
Are e-bikes provided as part of the package?

Every tour comes with a professional local guide, curated GPS routes, mechanical assistance, and essential trail snacks. We manage the logistics so you can purely enjoy the Yorkshire views.

Rental e-gravel bikes are available as a convenient add-on. We reach out before your tour to ensure we have a high-spec bike ready and perfectly sized for you.

Is lunch provided during the ride?

We pause at one of our hand-picked Yorkshire cafes for lunch. While meals are purchased individually, we provide all the trail water and energy bars you need to keep spinning.

Private & Custom Tours

Could we book a tour just for our private group?

Absolutely! We specialize in private bookings for friends, clubs, or special celebrations. Having your own guide means we can set a pace that works for everyone, ensuring a relaxed atmosphere where the focus stays purely on your group's enjoyment.

Can you create a bespoke route for us?

Yes, we’d love to! From epic moorland crossings to routes with the finest local bakery stops, just let us know what you're after. We’ll craft a customized itinerary that perfectly matches your fitness level and your sense of adventure.
